Mission Statement

To protect consumers and increase access to health care we:

  1. License and regulate physician assistants.
  2. Vigorously and objectively enforce laws and regulations relating to physician
    assistant practice.
  3. Encourage utilization of physician assistants in medically underserved areas.
  4. Seek ways and means to rehabilitate drug or alcohol impaired physician assistants.
  5. Encourage development of new physician assistant training programs and expansion of existing programs.

Vision Statement

The vision of the Physician Assistant Committee is to assure that health care needs for all persons are met in a compassionate, competent, and culturally sensitive manner.

Physician Assistants can better contribute to this outcome as they are increasingly recognized as quality providers and as their utilization is expanded.
